Vitalii Dorohan: “In 2025, state enterprises plan to increase procurement from private suppliers”

Vitalii Dorohan, CEO of JV Poltava Petroleum Company (PPC), and Serhii Veldyaksov, head of the PPC services department, participated in the “State Enterprise Supplier Day for the Oil and Gas Sector: Plans for 2025” conference, organized by Naftogaz Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The event brought together representatives from state oil and gas companies, government officials, and private suppliers to strengthen partnerships in public procurement and set strategic goals for 2025.

During the conference, state enterprises presented their procurement plans, emphasizing an increase in local production and the involvement of more domestic suppliers. Naftogaz Group also announced a 17% increase in its investment program.

Representatives from state oil and gas companies highlighted ongoing efforts to boost domestic production and affirmed their commitment to maintaining investment programs, despite risks associated with the war. The sector aims to intensify operations to ensure stability within Ukraine’s energy sector.

“Naftogaz Group has an ambitious plan to increase gas production by 6% and oil production by 4% in 2025. To achieve these goals, substantial drilling, workover operations, well intensification, and exploration are planned. State-owned oil and gas enterprises are keen to collaborate with Ukrainian suppliers of goods and services, as they cannot handle all operations by themselves. Naftogaz faces a shortage of service providers amid wartime conditions. Companies like PPC, with extensive experience in extraction, research, and well intensification, are of particular interest as partners for both oil and gas extraction and field and well maintenance. Involving a broad range of national suppliers in public procurement will stimulate the local market, create new jobs, and bolster energy independence. JV PPC, in turn, is ready to expand its collaboration with state companies, offering international-level service expertise,” stated Vitalii Dorohan, CEO of PPC.
