Michael Bakunenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the British JKX Oil & Gas Group, has been included in the ranking of Ukraine’s top executives according to Forbes Ukraine as part of the “Who’s Who in Ukrainian Business” project. Michael is recognized in the “Oil and Gas Extraction and Transportation” category. The primary asset of the JKX Oil & Gas Group in Ukraine is Poltava Petroleum Company, one of the leaders in the private oil and gas extraction sector.
In compiling the ranking, Forbes Ukraine editors, together with experts, researched individuals who actively contribute to the development of the Ukrainian economy, their path to success, and the factors that define leadership and motivate informed decision-making amid extreme challenges.
During the preparation of the list, experts analyzed over 500 candidates, including detailed questionnaires from more than 200 executives. This unique leadership research in Ukraine evaluates the performance of top managers in challenging industry conditions.
To recap, in 2020, Michael Bakunenko was included in the list of the “25 Best CEOs” by Forbes Ukraine. The ranking recognized top executives who demonstrated a high level of independence in management decision-making and successfully led their companies through the challenges of the year.
